Tradewind recruitment are working with an excellent partnership school in Hull, who are in need of a qualified and experienced Maths teacher to work for at least the Spring term. You will be performing all of the responsibilities and duties of a permanent staff member, and for this reason will be paid to scale (up to M6) for this position. This position is full time. This is a temporary contract that is expected to last until at least Easter 2021, but there is potential that this will last until the end of the academic year. We are looking for a candidate who can start in January 2021.

You will be working within a high functioning Maths department, with an excellent Head of Department, who all aim to provide the best possible education to their students. A comprehensive set of lesson plans are available for the successful candidate, that would just need to be amended to suit the needs of individual classes. For this reason, planning for this position will be minimal. The department are looking for a teacher who specialises in teaching Maths, and can deliver this subject to Key Stage 4 students. A Level experience would be desirable, but not essential for this position. Experience teaching in an intervention role/performing small group intervention would be ideal, as a large part of this booking will involve working with small groups, catching students up with their lost learning time. You will be teaching a traditional Maths timetable 3 days per week, and for the other 2 days you will be teaching GCSE Maths intervention to small groups, or on a 1:1 basis.
