Tradewind are recruiting! Are you a Maths Teacher looking for your next challenge in a school where 'the Principal has a clear and positive vision for the school'?
Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a dynamic, hardworking Maths Teacher to join this Ofsted rated "Good" school in St Helens, Merseyside. The school is well linked and is accessible via the M6 and M62 motorways and the A580. The position is a temporary, long- term position, from September 2020 until December 2020.
The school is a hub of its community and very well respected, with a broad and balanced curriculum that aims to offer each student an equivalent curriculum, regardless of their pathway. The school also offers an array of extra-curricular activities. Visitors to the school are always warmly welcomed by both staff and students, who both show a sense of pride about their school. There is also ample parking available on the school grounds.
The successful candidate will be passionate about their subject and able to inspire students throughout KS3, 4 and 5. The ability to teach KS5 is desirable but not essential for the position, as it is KS3 and 4 that is predominant on the timetable. Students start their GCSE pathway in Year 9, with the aim that by the end of year 10, curriculum content is largely delivered, allowing for more in-depth study in year 11. Following the school policy on planning and assessment, you will be expected to plan, deliver and assess students' work. You will join a supportive and collaborative department, who share ideas as common practice and encourage attendance at Maths events outside of school.
To join us and be successful in this Maths Teacher role you will need to:
*Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification
*Have experience of teaching Maths to KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
*This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
*Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
