Tradewind are looking to appoint an outstanding Maths teacher to join a wonderful client in January 2021 to be like a family unit who work together to ensure the success of all students.
Tradewind are looking to recruit a highly motivated Maths Teacher with a commitment to academic excellence and helping every child succeed. Working as part of a small team, you will play an important part in developing the academy's Maths provision. You will plan and deliver high quality lessons and be committed to achieving excellent results for their students, instilling in them a love for the subject and a desire to learn
Key responsibilities of this role would be to take responsibility for raising attainment at a Key Stage, ensuring that all students achieve results at the end of a Key Stage in line with, or better than expected attainment. To monitor the progress of key contextual groups implementing well designed strategies to close any gaps as they occur. You will provide a nurturing classroom and school environment that helps scholars to develop as learners along with other key duties including supporting Head of Department when necessary. Other duties which would be involved in this wo Be an Academic Tutor (where allocated) and contribute to the Academy's extracurricular programme
You must be qualified to degree level or professional equivalent. The client is looking for someone with experience of raising attainment in a challenging classroom environment, evidence of continually improving the teaching and learning of their subject through schemes of work and extra-curricular activities etc. You will have high expectations for accountability and consistency, aspirations, high expectations of self and others
You will be an excellent classroom practitioner and will process effective and systematic behaviour management, with clear boundaries, sanctions, praise and rewards. You will have good communication, planning and organisational skills.
Based in Southwark it boasts excellent transport links. Many bus routes operate in this area along with 2 major tube stations both under 10 minutes walk from the school.
