Are you looking for regular Maths tuition work?

Tradewind are currently working with an Alternative Provision in Accrington who are looking for regular Maths tuition, working with GCSE Maths classes/Key Stage 3 students who are struggling in Maths classes. We are looking for a practitioner to work Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am to 4pm. You will be paid between £15.00 and £20.00 per hour for this work and will work an average of 6 hours per day. The school cares deeply about providing intervention and support for their students, and you will be working with students with SEN or behavioural difficulties, so experience working with students with additional needs is desirable but in no means essential. The key skills we are looking for is having a strong Maths knowledge and a strong, motivating personality, who can form positive relationships and help students to make progress.

We are looking for a practitioner to start at this Alternative Provision in Accrington as soon as possible, and initially this work is expected to last until the June 2020.

Your main duties include:
*Working on a 1:1 basis with students to increase their Maths attainment
*Motivating potentially disengaged students to improve their attitude and enthusiasm towards Maths
*Working with small groups of Key Stage 3 and 4 students
*Marking work/suggesting improvements
*Using planned resources to assist students

This work would be ideal for:

*Teaching assistants who have worked within Maths departments
*Teaching assistants who have experience working with SEN students
*Recently graduated teachers looking to improve their experience

The School in question is an Alternative Provision with good transport links and a strong sense of community spirit. Being on a bus route from the Blackburn, this school is easily accessible via public transport, but also has a large onsite car park that provides ample parking for candidates who drive.
