Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a primary school in Enfield borough, which requires a SEN Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible:
- You will be working with two children during the day.
- The first child has global delay and medical needs and also has a "PEG" tube in his stomach
- There will also be some personal care involved as he is still going through toilet training
- The second child has Autism and is hearing impaired and you will be helping him with equipment which enables him to hear the class teacher through an electronic loop in the classroom, as well as day to day help for him throughout the day.
This will be an interesting, varied role as you will be working with two different children throughout the day. Full PEG tube training will be provided by a medical professional.

- Whilst it would be great if you have experience of a role similar to this, the school are open to enthusiastic candidates who have experience working with children.
- You should have great enthusiasm, be able to operate as a key member of a small team and also use your initiative when required. Great communication skills are important as you will be working with the team as well as liaising with parents and on occasions, external agencies.
- The role starts after half term in June and is likely to continue in September, for the academic year. The school would love the successful candidate to come in before the end of May, to allow for a handover with the present role holder.
- Salary for the role will be £75-80 per day, depending on experience.

Essential requirements to be considered for this Medical Teaching Assistant role:
- Have experience in a primary classroom in a mainstream setting and have a good knowledge of the primary curriculum
- This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
- Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
- You must have the legal right to work in the UK
