As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students with SEMH needs. Working collaboratively with school staff and other professionals, you will contribute to creating a nurturing and empowering environment for the holistic development of these exceptional students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer individual and group support to students with SEMH needs, promoting emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with school staff, therapists, and parents to implement personalised support plans.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive atmosphere that encourages positive mental health and resilience.
  • Facilitate interventions and activities that promote emotional regulation and social skills development.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, providing feedback to the wider support team.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Mental Health Support Worker or in a related role is highly desirable.
  • Relevant qualifications in mental health support, counselling, or a related field.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to the mental health and well-being of students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
