Tradewind are working with a "Good" rated co-educational secondary school in East Hertfordshire seeking to appoint a Spanish and French teacher to start full-time in September and continue through the school year, potentially progressing to a permanent contract.
Our client is a small countryside school with high expectations of their students and a pleasant, friendly atmosphere. Their last Ofsted inspection highlighted behaviour and staff-student relationships as a particular strength, with pupils speaking to inspectors about "their gratitude for the extra time and effort than staff give them". Their ethos is one of mutual respect, a diligent approach to learning and high standards for all.
The school are seeking an MFL Teacher who:
*Is able to support and model the school's high expectations for professionalism and mutual respect
*Can offer Spanish to KS4 and French at KS3, with the option of A-level available if desired
*Is able to contribute to the school's extra-curricular MFL provision with trips and clubs
*Has the vision, energy and drive to improve achievement and outcomes for all students even further
The successful teacher will have a track record of engaging teaching and high attainment in MFL, as well as holding and maintaining high expectations of their students.
Our client is situated in East Hertfordshire, on an attractive site with views of the Hertfordshire countryside. The school is close to the M25 with free on-site parking for all staff, and has good public transport links to Welwyn, Hatfield and Cheshunt.
The school offers a comprehensive induction programme for new staff and a strong network of personal support appropriate to each teacher's individual level of confidence and experience. The SLT are committed to staff career development and offer tailored CPD provision as well as excellent support and mentoring for NQTs.
