Tradewind are currently working with an excellent school in Hull, who are looking to recruit an MFL teacher when the schools reopen. While we are assuming this will be a September start, there is the possibility that the cover may be needed earlier than this, pending schools re-opening on time. The successful candidate will mainly find themselves teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 French, so we are ideally looking for a practitioner who has outstanding subject knowledge, and experience teaching French up to at least Key Stage 4 students. You may be asked to teach some Spanish to Key Stage 3 students, or even Key Stage 4 students, if you have the capability to do so. If you are teaching Spanish outside of your subject specialism to Key Stage 3, then all planning will be provided by an excellent head of department. All planning and marking associated with a teaching role are expected for the French teaching element of this position, and for that reason we the successful candidate should expect to be paid in line with their position on the main pay scale. In real terms, this means the successful candidate can expect to be paid between £120.00 and £183.00 per day, for each day worked. You will, however, be working in an extremely organised department who have a wealth of resources available for you to use at any given time, meaning the planning for this position is minimal, more just amending to your specific teaching style, and the specific needs of your students. This is a full time vacancy, however please don't hesitate to apply if you are available three or four days per week, as there might be the opportunity for a job share for this position.

Your school working hours will be 8:45AM to 3:45PM on your traditional working day. We are still working 7AM to 5:30PM each day, so would be happy for you to get in touch and ask about the process, and get you registered. Obviously with the current times, this registration process will be done electronically, and from there we will process your registration, with just some finishing touches needed when measures are relaxed, and social contact is once again permitted and advised.

The school in question has a large onsite car park that all staff can use for free. There is always ample parking spaces, so parking is not an issue. For non-drivers, this is in a good location for public transport, with buses from the city centre and other areas of Hull frequently travelling past the school.

The role :
Teaching French to Key Stage 3 and 4 students
Teaching Spanish to Key Stage 3 students
Planning and marking in line with the national curriculum
Marking students work and assessments
Planning/attending field trips
Liaising with the head of department to continue to create excellent resources for the department.
