Tradewind are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and talented Spanish Teacher to join the MFL Faculty from Summer term of 2021 (possibly sooner). This is a successful mixed school which serves the mixed community of East London.

This client is a six-form entry, mixed gender secondary school in Walthamstow, East London with 840 students on roll. It admits 180 girls and boys to Year 7 each year. Ofsted rating GOOD. They are a happy, successful and very popular 11 to 16 mixed comprehensive school. This school are also holders of the Platinum Quality Mark for Professional Development and the Arts Mark Platinum Award

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join the MFL faculty to teach Spanish to Key Stage 3, 4 & 5. You would also have opportunity to teach 1 lesson of year 7 French. You will be passionate about your subject and its role in enabling young people to be the best they can be. You will be an excellent teacher with a successful track record and a role model for great classroom practice.

The role would be to start in the summer term and would be for a 1 year maternity cover. The timetable is mainly Spanish and in Years 7, 8 and 9, the curriculum is planned to stretch and challenge everyone to be the best they can be, preparing them for the challenges ahead in years 10 and 11. There are two mixed ability Spanish groups in year 10 and one mixed ability Spanish groups in year 11.
