MFL Teacher

MFL Teacher, popular Welwyn Garden City based Secondary Academy, Full time post starting in January 2024 paying MPS 1-6 and UPS for those over threshold, Spanish / French preference but open to MFL teachers with other languages

We are seeking an MFL Teacher to join a dedicated language team at this poplar Secondary Academy in Welwyn Garden City.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare and deliver MFL lessons to students in key stages 3 and 4 (Years 7 -11)
• Teach French or Spanish and offer a 2nd language
• Inspire pupils to develop a love of languages improve their oral skills and to understand the importance of listening and writing.
• Assess, monitor and track progress and attainment levels and provide ongoing support and feedback
• Create a positive learning environment that encourages student participation

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent or have experience teaching MFL
• Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for language learning and MFL
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and inspire students
• Commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for pupils
• An eagerness to contribute to the school community and offer support with extracurricular activities
