Tradewind Preston are working with an Alternative Provision in Blackburn who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support in the Motor Vehicle Department.

Teaching Assistant/ Support Worker to start ASAP long term 5 days a week.

The pupils whilst challenging in behaviour are academically able and a number have an interest in Motor Vehicle. As such anyone with a background in Motor Vehicle is encouraged to apply.

The PRU specialises in working with Secondary aged pupils with challenging behaviour who have been permanently excluded from mainstream settings. The school has small class sizes of between 4 and 9 pupils and are looking for a Teaching Assistant/ Support Worker specialist to work with KS3 and KS4 pupils.

The school is keen to appoint a long-term member of staff to join their supportive department and the practitioner will also have access to learning and training throughout the school to enable you to become an excellent Teaching Assistant.

*Experience with SEMH/ Challenging Behaviour
*Those interested in Motor Vehicle are also encouraged to apply
*Team Teach or positive restraint training is preferred but not essential
*You will work closely with experienced SEMH teachers providing 1:1 and small group support in a challenging behaviour environment.

The school has a large car park on site with close links to the M65 and has access to public transport.
