Tradewind recruitment are working with an excellent partnership school in The East Riding of Yorkshire, who are in need of a qualified and experienced Music teacher to work for at least the Spring term. You will be performing all of the responsibilities and duties of a permanent staff member, and for this reason will be paid to scale (up to M6) for this position. This is a temporary contract that is expected to last until at least Easter 2021, but there is potential that this will last until the end of the academic year. We are looking for a candidate who can start in January 2021. This position is a part time position, being a 0.4 timetable, this involves two full days. The days are a Wednesday and Thursday.

You will be working within a high performing Arts department, spearheaded by an outstanding teacher who specialises in Drama and the Performing Arts. You will be working directly under the lead teacher of Music, who has a comprehensive set of lesson plans are available for the successful candidate, that would just need to be amended to suit the needs of individual classes. For this reason, planning for this position will be minimal. The department are looking for a teacher who specialises in teaching Music, and can deliver this subject to Key Stage 4 students. A Level experience would be desirable, but not essential for this position, and there may be potential to teach A level Music if you have the necessary skills and experience. While this is a part time position, there is potential to increase the amount of days with general cover or support work within the school. As you will be working under experienced staff members, we would welcome applications from passionate and enthusiastic NQTs, and there would be potential to complete some of your NQT induction at the school.

The school itself is a large school that is situated a short drive from Hull, and it is possible to reach on public transport from Hull City Centre, and from various other bus routes in and around Hull. The school has a large onsite car park for those that drive, that has ample parking that is free for school staff members. Being a truly excellent school, it has comprehensive CPD offerings and training, that as a long term staff member you will have access to. *Working with small groups delivering Maths intervention

Experience working with students aged between 11-18
*QTS
