This is a well run and highly respected community secondary school that consistently achieves high levels of attainment at both GCSE and A-Level while rightly been praised by Ofsted. The school has a mixed intake of pupils from a range of social and cultural backgrounds who enjoy learning together and from each other. Behaviour is excellent and there is a robust behaviour policy in place for any students that do not meet the high expectations the school sets in this area. Music as a subject is popular though to A-Level and has consistently produced excellent results. The department has dedicated music and recording studios, plus there has been serious investment in musical instruments over the past 3 years.
