Tradewind are recruiting! Are you looking for you next role teaching Music in an inner London school based in Lambeth London?
Tradewind are looking to recruit an ambitious and talented Music teacher to start with our client in September 2020.
They are a popular, inclusive Church of England secondary school in South London. Ofsted recently judged them to be 'outstanding' for care and welfare of students and 'good' overall. We are also a SIAMS 'excellent' school. They have strong behaviour systems, a caring approach to provide a great education to the students. The have high ambitions for students. They are a successful, well-led school with a supportive staff who are friendly, collaborative and enjoy enriching the lives of our students each day.
They would be looking for someone to join them who is professional, committed and invested to ensuring that each member of their community fulfils their God-given potential. They are clear that their aim for students to secure the very best outcomes relies upon our ability to deliver high standards of teaching and learning.
You would be joining a department with excellent facilities available as they have just recently moved into a brand new school building. This schools believes that every student should be offered the opportunity to learn singing or a musical instrument. Music helps young people express themselves, enjoy being creative and grow in confidence.
Students who learn an instrument or voice in school also learn to be organised, disciplined and responsible for their practice and progress. Students who learn music tend to achieve well academically across their other subjects.
With this in mind, every student is offered the opportunity to learn singing or a musical instrument, free of charge, when they start in Year 7. All students learn music as a class subject in Years 7 and 8, with music as an option from Year 9 onwards.
They are looking for someone with experience teaching both Key Stage 3 & 4 Music and would be actively involved in extra curricular activities such as Music clubs including Concert Band, Choir, Woodwind Ensemble, Saxophone Group, String Orchestra, Cello Club, performances or intervention. They are looking for someone with great knowledge and a passion for teaching Music.
This school is based in Lambeth and is 13 minute walk from the local Tube, served by a number of bus routes as well as having parking facilities available to all member of staff.
Continual professional development is a high priority to this client and heavily invest in staff to ensure they maintain their excellent provision for all students.
