Job Title: Full-Time Music Teacher (Fixed Term)

Location: Sheffield, United Kingdom

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Fixed Term until Easter break, with potential extension until the summer

Job Type: Full-time

About the School: Our vibrant and dynamic school in Sheffield is seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join our team. We provide a supportive and inclusive environment where creativity and innovation are encouraged.

Responsibilities: As a Full-Time Music Teacher, the majority of your lessons will be focused on music education for KS3 and KS4 students. Additionally, you will be responsible for delivering 4 - 5 technology lessons per week, covering subjects such as Food Tech, Design Technology, or IT. Lesson plans for technology classes will be provided, but you will be expected to independently plan and execute engaging lessons for your music classes.

Key Duties:

  • Conducting high-quality music lessons for KS3 and KS4 students
  • Delivering 4 - 5 technology lessons per week, covering a range of subjects
  • Collaborating with the department to contribute to the planning and development of the curriculum
  • Undertaking marking and providing constructive feedback to students
  • Maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Specialisation in Music Education
  • Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 students
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and work independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
