Sanza Teaching Agency is working with a lovely independent nursery located in Islington. This Nursery is looking for a Nursery Practitioner to work with a class of 30 children, the Nursery has a huge focus on Outdoor Learning and the facilities available are fantastic with a large outdoor area.
Qualifications and Experience:
*Level 2 and above
*Paediatric First Aid
*Good communication skills and proficiency in the written and spoken English language
*Good knowledge of and act in accordance with current legal and statutory frameworks, policies, and procedures
Purpose of Job Role:
*To offer children a safe, secure, caring, and supportive environment, providing learning and play opportunities to foster their growth and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage
*To plan and deliver an inclusive curriculum suitable to meet the needs of all children in line the Early Years Foundation Stage
*To support the aims and objectives of the Little Haven and to achieve a high standard of education and care for children from 3 months to 5 years
*To be part of the Early Years team and deliver a purposeful, stimulating environment rich in learning opportunities both indoors and outdoors
Main Responsibilities:
*Use professional knowledge of the individual and diverse ways that children learn and develop, to meet their differing needs. Establish positive and sensitive relationships with children. Act as a role model and set achievable expectations
*Organize and set up the learning and play environment indoors and outdoors in accordance with the planning in place, and ensure equipment and resources are available and appropriate to meet the needs of the individual children in the group
*Support children's physical needs of children and encourage good standards of personal hygiene, whilst promoting independence
*Support children's mealtimes with teaching children about healthy eating, appropriate behavior at the table, sitting and talking to them at their level. Support children's independence when serving meals, snacks, and drinks
*Provide support for the children's emotional and social needs by implementing the principles of the nursery's positive behavior management policy and role model high standards in all aspects of their role and personal conduct
*Monitor and evaluate children's learning through a range of assessment and monitoring strategies. Contribute to the settling and review of learning and development and plan targets in addition to developmental action plans
*Provide objective and accurate feedback and reports for parents and other professional on children's achievements, progress, and related matters
*Establish strong and professional relationships with parents to support children's learning, taking into account, home language and cultural backgrounds
*Conduct parents evening and support any parent activities and workshops
*Attend relevant training sessions and meetings to support own professional development
*Comply and follow all nursery policies
*To undertake any duties set by the management team that will assist in the day-to-day running of the nursery

*To ensure that any safeguarding concerns or incidents are reported appropriately in line with policy.
*To engage in safeguarding training when required
