Do you have a passion for pupil development in Early Years coupled with an interest and background in SEND? If so, we have a unique and exciting opportunity for you!

On behalf of our client school, Tradewind are looking to recruit a dedicated Nursery teacher with a background in SEND for an exciting role at a large school based in Offerton, Stockport. The role is full-time from September and comes with a TLR which focuses on SENDCo responsibilities. This role pays an attractive salary of up to £230 per day and offers the chance to be a welcomed addition to the Early Years Department!

In addition, the successful candidate will be enrolled into an exciting CPD programme to keep updated with recent educational initiatives.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the nursery cohort and have an in-depth knowledge of the Early Years Framework and supporting documentation. The school are hopeful to appoint a proactive and ambitious team member who will drive improvements across the EYFS department.

The successful candidate will be ale to utilise a range of de-escalation strategies and behaviour management techniques and will also have a solid knowledge and understanding of SEND including writing, and reviewing EHCPs.

The school are looking for:

-An experienced Early Years professional with a proven track record in Nursery

-Someone who will plan creative and engaging activitites and has a passion for outdoor learning

-Someone with SENDCo experience or a strong background and interest in SEND (NASENDCo desirable but not essential)

- An understanding of restorative relationships

Essential Requirements:

  • You must hold QTS status or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in Early Years (Nursery - essential)
  • SEND experience is essential (NASENDCo - highly desirable but not essential)
  • Excellent references to support your previous experience as a teacher/leader in an EYFS setting
  • Provide a CV that covers the last 10 years employment history with any gaps explained
  • Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable)
  • Have a right to work in the UK.
