Tradewind are working with a high-achieving Catholic primary school rated "Good with Outstanding elements" (Ofsted 2016) in St Albans, seeking a Nursery teacher to start immediately and cover the class until after Easter.

The school is looking for an inspiring teacher with high expectations who will support the school's Catholic ethos and their high standards of conduct for their pupils. Lessons are already planned for this contract, but a knowledgeable teacher is needed to step in and ensure that learning is supported and appropriately challenging for pupils.

Responsibilities of this role include:
*Teaching a 21-pupil nursery class from 8:30-12:30 5 mornings a week
*Covering one Reception class
*Interpreting and delivering lesson material set by the usual class teacher
*Supervising pupil safety in according with the school's safeguarding policy
*Ensuring that all students are on-task and engaged in their learning

The school offers a "calm and orderly environment" (Ofsted 2016), grounded in the school's Catholic principles, and teacher-pupil relationships are strong, as well as relationships with parents. The school has a strong focus on inclusion and aims to ensure high standards of provision for those with SEN, which leads to vulnerable pupils making above average progress.
The school is situated in St Albans, within walking distance of the station and main bus stops, with free parking available onsite for staff. The school site is spacious and modern with state of the art facilities, and easy access to the town centre and shops.

The essentials
Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification (Level 5 Early Years)
* This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
* Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
* You must have the legal right to work in the UK
