Our client school is an Alternative Education provider catering for Secondary ages and some post-16 with BESD. They require a Special needs experienced staff to work as an Outreach worker for their project in Midsomer Norton. The role involves supporting Secondary aged students who need 1:1 support with their academic work and communication issues. You will be providing pastoral and academic support from various centres in Midsomer Norton and the use of your own car is necessary for this post. It is ideal to have

-Experience where you managed challenging behaviour
-Teaching experience within a SEN school or a college
-A genuine interest in helping young people with barriers to learning and communication.
-Ability to foresee, manage and deescalate challenging behaviour within lines of school behaviour policy and report on behaviour changes effectively

This role is fulltime and between school hours. Working hours are 0830-1630 Monday to Friday.

Location: Midsomer Norton

Have your own car and be happy to drive the students in your own transport- Must be willing to get business insurance

* Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
* You must have the legal right to work in the UK
