Trade wind are recruiting! We are looking for exceptional KS2 teachers who can inspire pupils to achieve excellent academic progress.

The headteacher at this Ofsted rated 'Good' primary school in Trafford is in need of an intervention teacher to support KS2 pupils in closing the educational gaps created by current events. This part-time role beginning March 2021 and will run until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will be required for morning sessions across Years 3-6. The idea candidate will have experience teaching KS2 children, have a strong understanding of KS2 learning expectations and have a fun, caring approach to learning.

The school are a caring community who are dedicated to children's academic and social well-being. Staff at this school regularly go above and beyond to ensure the needs of pupils, families and the community are met. The staff are supported by a strong leadership team who work tirelessly to ensure their team is well looked after. This leads to classes filled with pupils who enjoy coming to school and will work hard to achieve their full potential.

As the KS2 intervention teacher you will be required to liaise with class teachers to ensure that learning is targeted and appropriate for the children's specific needs. You will also be required to:

  • Plan effective and engaging for small groups of children across years 3-6.
  • Ensure children's social and emotional needs are catered for.
  • Use your knowledge and understanding of the KS2 curriculum to implement high quality and engaging sessions to your groups.
  • Develop strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
  • Address missed curriculum content and bridge the gaps in order to accelerate progress.
  • Report regularly to class teachers with individual pupil progress and next steps

We are looking for applicants who have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • A commitment to child development and learning
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • The right to work in the U.K
