Are you an SEN Teacher experienced in supporting children with Vision Impairments and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties? I'm working with a school who have a role to start in September this year and I want to hear from you! Receiving an OFSTED rated Outstanding award in January, this is an opportunity to join a thriving and high performing team achieving great results with their pupils.

This is a school for blind and partially sighted children with significant learning difficulties and disabilities with many students having an ECHP for PMLD. The school has around 50 pupils aged 2 to 14. The needs supported at this school include: vision impairment, multi-sensory impairment, learning difficulties and disabilities, physical disabilities, communication difficulties as well as additional medical and health needs.

The ideal candidate will be a confident and capable Teacher, knowledgeable about VI support, manual handling, personal cares and vocational qualifications. Experience working in Vision Impaired settings is highly desired but not essential. You would also be responsible for a team of Teaching Assistants working in your classroom.

To be successful in this role you will need excellent communication and organisation skills as well as a positive and proactive attitude. You will be a team player and committed to the school's values of inclusion, collaboration and integrity. This role requires candidates to have a strong understanding of SEN needs to provide individualised to support to each pupil in the class.

The Teacher would have:
*A primary teaching qualification and QTS
*SEN teaching experience with evidence of outstanding classroom practice
*The ability to be able to manage complex needs
*Have experience supporting pupils with vocational qualifications
*Be comfortable with personal cares and manual handling
*Differentiate lessons to suit the needs and abilities of learners in the class
