Roles and Responsibilities:
As a Part-Time Teaching Assistant with Tradewind Recruitment, you'll have the opportunity to:
Support Student Learning: Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons and providing one-on-one support to students who may need extra help.
Create a Positive Learning Environment: Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming atmosphere within the classroom, ensuring that all students feel valued and respected.
Manage Classroom Resources: Help organise and maintain teaching materials, resources, and equipment, ensuring a smooth learning experience.
Individualised Support: Provide tailored assistance to students with special educational needs (SEN) or those requiring additional support.
Behavioural Support: Assist in managing classroom behaviour and implementing behaviour management strategies to create a conducive learning environment.
Promote Inclusivity: Collaborate with teaching staff to include and support students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student progress and feedback to help monitor and assess their development.
Teamwork: Collaborate with teachers and fellow teaching assistants to plan, coordinate, and deliver effective lessons.
Inspire and Motivate: Be a role model for students, inspiring them to strive for success and reach their full potential.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A passion for education and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Flexibility and adaptability in various classroom settings.
- Prior experience working with children or young adults is preferred.
- A valid DBS check (or be willing to obtain one).
- A minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).
