Tradewind are currently looking for a Pastoral Support Worker for a large mainstream Secondary School in Arnos Grove, North London.
You will be required to supervise and support individual and small groups of pupils undertaking focused learning activities. Contribute to the learning support in the Learning Centre by assisting in planning, preparing appropriate resources, monitoring and supporting learning and collecting and recording pupil data.
To work as part of the Pastoral Team assisting to reduce incidents of disruptive behaviour across the school and to create a more positive learning environment Work closely with other relevant staff including Achievement Directors and teaching staff where necessary.
The role is to start ASAP for the Summer term with the view to continue through to next academic year. This is a full-time role. Hours are 08:00 to 15:45 with a 45 minute break. Daily rate is dependent on experience but typically £85- £120.00 per day.
The school is looking for:
- Previous experience working within a Secondary school setting is preferred but not essential
- Experience working with students with either SEN or challenging behaviour
- A Psychology degree or similar
- Candidates with a youth working background are encouraged to apply
The school is located in Enfield with excellent access to public transport links but also has parking.
