Tradewind Recruitment are looking for a Pastoral Support Assistant to work with a specialist school based in the Wirral. The school caters for children from age 7 up to 16 and is expanding year on year with further growth planned for next academic year.

The role will require: family support, CAF meeting, LAC reviews, statement applications, safeguarding and liaising with external agencies.

We are working on behalf of the Head Teacher who leads a team of skilled and supportive staff members. They are a Team Teach school, therefore this is a desirable, but training will be provided by Tradewind.

The successful applicant will be provided full support from staff, the senior leadership team and myself.

You will require:
Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to process one
Experience working vulnerable families, children or communities
Empathetic outlook
Experience dealing with families
TWO contactable professional referees
Right to work in the UK

To join us and be successful for this Behaviour Support Assistant role you will need to:
* Have previous experience as a Teaching Assistant
* Have previous experience supporting children with challenging behaviour
* This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
* Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
* You must have the legal right to work in the UK
