Tradewind Recruitment are looking for a Pastoral Support Assistant to work with an 11 year old male pupil on a 1:1 basis in a Special Needs School based in Wirral. They are looking for someone who has experience dealing with vulnerable children and can understand the complex backgrounds of these young people. You will be required to pick this child up from his home address so a car is needed. Their timetable is based in school and also off site to try and reintroduce him back onto a full timetable.

We are working on behalf of the Head Teacher who leads a team of skilled and supportive staff members. They are a Team Teach school, therefore this is a desirable, but training will be provided by Tradewind.

The successful applicant will be provided full support from staff, the senior leadership and myself. I will also provide regular training and development and will analyse skill gaps.

You will require:
Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to process one
Experience working vulnerable families, children or communities
Empathetic outlook
Experience dealing with parents or carers
TWO contactable professional referees
Right to work in the UK

To join us and be successful for this Behaviour Support Assistant role you will need to:
* Have previous experience as a Teaching Assistant
* Have previous experience supporting children with challenging behaviour
* This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
* Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
* You must have the legal right to work in the UK
