PE Teacher
The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality education and support to pupils who require alternative provision due to behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties. The successful candidate will play a vital role in helping our pupils achieve their full potential through the delivery of engaging and dynamic PE lessons.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality PE lessons to pupils of varying ages and abilities
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback and support as necessary
- Work collaboratively with other members of the PRU team to ensure the best possible outcomes for pupils
- Foster a safe and positive learning environment, promoting the social and emotional wellbeing of pupils
- Engage pupils in extracurricular sports activities and encourage participation in inter-school competitions
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with pupils who require alternative provision due to behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties
- Knowledge of relevant curriculum frameworks and assessment methods
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging and dynamic PE lessons to pupils of varying ages and abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers and colleagues
Desirable:
- Additional qualifications in Sports Coaching or Sports Science
- Experience working in a PRU or alternative provision setting
- Experience working with pupils with SEND
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and will be expected to adhere to the PRU's policies and procedures.
