Personal Care & Classroom Assistant

We are currently working closely with a primary school in the South Sheffield area who are recruiting a Personal Care and Classroom assistant to work one to one with a child in Year 2.
The child requires support with all aspects of personal care including toileting and you will be required to support the child throughout break and lunch times to help them get around school.
The child walks aided with a frame and has access to a laptop to use in lessons to aid them in completing their work. The child also has mild learning difficulties and the successful person should be confident in supporting all aspects of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
The successful person should have a calm and nurturing manner. Previous experience working in a similar role would be beneficial as would recent moving and handling training.
A Teaching Assistant qualification would be beneficial but not essential as previous experience in a similar role is most important.
The school is welcoming with supportive SLT who want the best support possible for this vulnerable child. They have produced an individualised educational care plan and have ensured that this child has access to every available resource to ensure they can access as much of the curriculum as possible.
The appointed person will make a real differences to this young person's educational success and enjoyment at school.

Pay - £80 - £90 per day
