About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Philosophy and Ethics Teacher to join our team in High Wycombe. The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for teaching Philosophy and Ethics and a strong commitment to nurturing students' intellectual and moral development. This is a temporary to permanent role, with the potential for a direct permanent position for the right candidate.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Philosophy, Ethics, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred, but unqualified teachers with relevant experience are welcome to apply.
- Strong subject knowledge and a deep passion for the subject matter.
- Effective classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging and positive learning environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Philosophy and Ethics lessons to students at various levels.
- Foster intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and moral reasoning among students.
- Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress.
- Provide timely feedback to support student growth and development.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning.
