This popular independent day school is highly sought after for their excellent academic results (within the top 10% nationally) and traditional, inspiring learning environment.

They have previously won the Sunday Times "Independent School of the Year" award for having the third-highest parent satisfaction rate in the country as well as 94% A*/A grades at GCSE. They emphasise a holistic approach to learning that expands beyond the academic curriculum, investing heavily in opportunities to excel in sports, drama and music. The student body is engaged, academic and ambitious, with Science proving a particularly popular subject across the school.

As a Science teacher you will be required to engage and encourage pupils throughout Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 in a highly academic, ambitious learning environment. Physics at A-level and GCSE is essential, however there will be the opportunity to teach general Science at KS3 and perhaps other sciences at GCSE if the interest is there. The school's large Science department achieves nation-leading results at all Key Stages and offers excellent support and collaboration to all its staff.

The school would like to receive applications from teachers (qualified or otherwise) who will:

-Be an academically able, engaged teacher
-Get involved in school life and events beyond the classroom, such as house events and trips
-Be either a newly qualified teacher or an experienced professional seeking to broaden their experience and training
-Teach and plan according to the department's nation-leading standards and collaborate as part of an exceptional team

With the opportunity to apply as an experienced unqualified teacher or a newly qualified teacher seeking experience, this could be the perfect chance to take a first step into the highly competitive independent sector.

This school is located in a beautiful historic school building with expansive, well-kept grounds and state-of-the-art facilities. Opportunities for training and development here are exceptional- the school invests heavily in its staff and most promotions to leadership roles are made internally, so they are seeking teachers who are open to a long career here. The school is located close to the M1 with easy access via car or train from Hertfordshire or Northwest London.
