We are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to work at a SEN school in Bristol from November 4th 2019. The role is part-time and starts at the beginning of Term 2 and ongoing until end of this academic year 2019-2020.

The school requires a Teaching assistant to work with a pupil who is currently in Year 2, with mild speech and language difficulties, and has limited mobility. The hours are 0845- 1230 Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate they are looking for should have previous experience of working with students with physical disabilities and might require academic and communication support. The hours are likely to increase/change after the first term.
The school is a well-doing school with excellent facilities both for their staff and students and offer training in wide range of Special Needs and Support. They are happy to consider candidates from backgrounds outside education (i.e Nursing, Social Care and etc.)

You have previous Teaching Assistant or Care experience.
You have previously supported young people with Special Needs.
You have experience/Training in Language and Speech in Manual Handling.
You are available part-time from next term.

** Have experience of working with children in any capacity
*Will have confidence to support a young person with limited mobility and help with mild personal care such as feeding and toileting.

*Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
*Have a CV covering at least 10 years employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
*Have the legal right to work in the UK
