Tradewind are recruiting! Are you a Teacher with experience of teaching pupils with SLD or PMLD?

Tradewind are currently recruiting for a hardworking and experienced Teacher who can teach a small group of students with PMLD in a SEN school near Bath. The role will be starting at the end of September 2019 and will be ongoing part-time beyond that point.

The school is an established school with great facilities and training opportunities, and it caters for Secondary aged students with PMLD. School has ample private parking on the school grounds as well on street parking. It has modern and new school facilities and well known for their excellence in alternative and sensory therapy sessions.

There is a high ratio of support staff per pupil, as well as other behavioural support rotating between the classes.

School has a very experienced SEN support team as well as a supportive and hands-on approachable SLT.

Essential requirements:

PGCE or Cert Ed.
Relevant degree.
Specialist qualification in SLD/PMLD.
At least two years in a similar education or SEND setting

QTS/QTLS is desirable but not necessary if the criteria above is met.

Essential duties:

To provide assessment, support and guidance for PMLD/SLD learners.
Provide reports for learners, parents, LA and other external
Varied and successful teaching experience
Experience of working with learners with a broad range of needs, including high levels of need /SLD / PMLD.
Evidence of collaborative working with other subjects.
