Tradewind have an exciting opportunity to join a Mainstream Primary school in the heart of Camden.

The school are currently seeking a number of Education Support Workers and Teaching Assistants to join the school on a full-time basis.

The school is specialised in educating pupils with various SEN needs, such as Learning Difficulties, Physical Disabilities and other associated needs such as Speech and Language needs within a mainstream primary setting.

The school has a passionate and dedicated team that are solely focused on creating an enriching learning environment for each one of their pupils.

They are looking for individuals that are passionate about developing a career and will be willing to put you through training, including teaching training for dedicated members of the team.

This is an ideal opportunity for anyone who is fancying a change in career or if you have a keen interest in special needs.

Experience is preferred but not necessary.

Main Duties

  • Supporting the class teacher with the preparation of resources to meet the personalised learning intentions of allocated students.
  • Providing 1:1 support under the supervision of the class Teacher for the delivery of skills-based learning.
  • Work closely with class Teacher to report on progress using an evidence-based approach
  • To enable students to learn by; understanding their learning goals and targets; enable them to practice and learn new skills and challenge them to be as independent as possible
  • To assist in the provision of a safe and stimulating environment and activities for students which will challenge and enable them to learn and practice their skills.
  • To understand and fully implement Safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • To assist in maintaining accurate records both written and electronic in accordance with registration and legal requirements, these will need to be timely, informed and legible.
