As an SEN Primary Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Fostering Inclusive Learning: Creating an inclusive classroom environment where every primary student can thrive both academically and emotionally.

  2. Providing Individualised Support: Offering personalised one-on-one or small group assistance to primary students with SEN to ensure they receive tailored support.

  3. Implementing Education Plans: Assisting in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and customised learning strategies for primary students with SEN.

  4. Managing Behaviour: Aiding in behaviour management and the implementation of positive behaviour support plans for primary students with SEN.

  5. Adapting Learning Resources: Preparing and modifying learning materials to cater to the specific needs of primary students with SEN.

  6. Facilitating Communication: Maintaining open lines of communication with primary school teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in the education of SEN students.

  7. Monitoring Progress: Tracking and reporting on the academic progress of primary students with SEN, offering valuable insights for improvement.

  8. Encouraging Independence: Promoting the development of essential life skills and fostering independence among primary students with SEN.
