This is a vacancy for a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant at a primary special needs school in the Manchester area catering for children with Autism & Complex Needs.

Starting in September 2023 on a full time & long term basis. Pay up to £85/day.

• Primary SEN Teaching Assistant at a primary SEN school the Manchester area.
• Starting in Sept on a full time basis, Mon to Fri.
• Opportunity to turn permanent for the right person.
• Hours are 8:30am - 3:30pm.
• Pay up to £85/day depending on exp.

• As the new Primary Teaching Assistant you will need to support pupils with Autism & Complex Needs.
• You will be working in groups of no more than 8 pupils at a time.
• You will need to work as a team to manage challenging situations and make progress with your pupils.
• Often 1:1 support will be required as well
• Sometimes personal care or moving & handling tasks will be needed.
• Pupils respond well to motivation, encouragement & positive reinforcement.

• Focus on prevention and non invasive de-escalation startegies to support children.
• Aim for all pupils, regardless of background or ability to be successful and valued.

• Have an enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service
• Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
• 2 Professional references checks.
• Provide a CV with a full history.
• Have the legal right to work in the UK.
• Have some experience with teenagers or young adults.
