Primary Teacher - Alternative Provision

Are you a passionate and experienced primary teacher with a strong background in supporting children with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties? We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at an alternative provision in a north Chesterfield suburb.

Position: Primary Teacher
Age Group: Year 1 to Year 6
Contract: Full-time
Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching: Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the diverse needs of students experiencing social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with a substantial team of Teaching Assistants to create a supportive and nurturing learning environment.

  • Behaviour Management: Utilise your confidence in behaviour management to foster a positive atmosphere, ensuring a safe and inclusive space for all students.

  • Team Teach Training: Opportunities for Team Teach training will be provided, with candidates already possessing this qualification considered a valuable asset.

  • Transportation: Ideally, candidates should have their own transport, as there may be occasional requirements to take students out for day trips.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • QTS: Qualified Teacher Status is essential.

  • Experience: Proven experience in working with children facing emotional, social, and behavioural difficulties.

  • Confidence: A confident and adept behaviour manager who can effectively address challenging behaviours.
