Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a full-time, Year 3 teacher to join this school rated as "good" by Ofsted. Based in Enfield borough in North London, the school is seeking a teacher for a January start. This role is due to last until July 2021 and the salary will be outer London scale, presently £29915 - £41136, depending on experience.

This is a two-form entry school located in the London borough of Barnet. They are led by an established Headteacher who has helped the school to make very good progress. They are oversubscribed, with a good reputation locally. The school is well-resourced and has some excellent facilities.

The Headteacher's aim is to encourage children to become independent and inquisitive learners and to provide them with the skills to enable this.

Behaviour at the school is good, with children motivated to learn.
Behaviour in the class is good, with the class responding well to a positive approach. There is a range of attainment levels, so differentiation in planning is essential. The year group plans together and the parallel year group teacher is very experienced. The school has three children with additional learning needs, including some with English as an additional language and a part-time teaching assistant is assigned to the class to help support. The vacancy has arisen because the present class teacher is moving away from London.

The role will involve the usual requirements of a full-time class teacher, including weekly staff meetings, parent consultation evenings etc. Unfortunately, the school do not have the capacity to assist a newly qualified teacher with induction year but it could be a good foot in the door and there may be opportunities at the school for September 2021.
