Primary teacher, KS2, Blackburn

Tradewind Recruitment are working on behalf of a one and a half form entry primary school who would like to recruit an upper key stage 2 teacher.

The role is due to start in October 2020 and will be continuing for the rest of the academic year until July 2021. This is a long-term temporary role.

We are recruiting for an upper key stage 2 teacher for a school situated in Blackburn. This primary school is two form entry school, rated as good by Ofsted. The school has a caring community feel.

The school is looking for a teacher with year 5 and 6 experience who has strong behaviour management, to join their hardworking department and continue to ensure all children meet their individual targets whiles challenging them academically to push themselves further.

The school is extremely welcoming, and the dedicated staff work effectively together and have very successful relationships with parents, carers and the local community.

This "Good" Primary School caters for approx. 414 pupils and has their own nursery. The school aims to work in partnership with parents to ensure all students are achieving the best they can in a high-quality learning environment. All staff at the school share the ambition and drive to keep improving the school and encouraging pupils to achieve the best results they can and enjoy their time in School.

The Headteacher provides clear leadership. She has high ambitions for the school and equally high expectations of all staff. Teamwork is strong across the school and everybody works together. The school has strong links with parents, carers and the community. Behaviour in the school is generally good, and students are respectful of each other and of the adults in the school. The staff all work together to provide a caring, nurturing environment in which their learners will be supported to achieve their potential.

The school is based in Blackburn and has excellent motorway links and is easily accessible by public transport with a bus stop within 5 minutes' walk of school.

We are looking for:
*A KS2 primary teacher who will take on the responsibility of a class of up to 29 mixed ability pupils, you will have a supportive and experienced Teaching Assistant in class full time. You shall be required to plan, deliver and assess work in line with the National Curriculum and be happy to partake in Parents Evenings, sports days and school trips.
*A hard-working and highly motivated person with strong behaviour management.
*A Primary Teacher with experience of delivering SATS to year 6, that is driven and determined to achieve goals set out for them
*A collaborative team player that works hard for their colleagues and students in their care

The successful candidate will need to be flexible as you may be working in one of 2 year 6 cohorts.

Essential requirements:
To join us and be successful in this primary teacher role you will need to:
*Hold QTS status
* Experience of working in upper Key Stage 2 with SATS experience
*This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
*Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
*You must have the legal right to work in the UK
