This school in Barnet is currently looking for a qualified Year 4 teacher to join the team on a full-time basis, 5 days per week.
The school is led by an experienced Headteacher and they were graded as "good" following their Ofsted inspection in 2019.
They are two form entry and the year group classes plan together each week to share ideas and resources. The school is well-resourced and it is a modern, bright building, recently rebuilt.
The school is a short walk from a rail station and also close to a tube station and can also be reached by bus, with staff parking is available.
The Headteacher is keen to recruit a full-time Year 4 teacher to join the team as soon as possible, until at least the end of the academic year in July.
The Class:
The class have recently been through some changes with a change in teacher midway through last year so they have been a little unsettled and the Headteacher has asked for a candidate who can definitely commit until July at least.
They are a nice class, who respond well to a good classroom manager; someone who has a very positive, encouraging approach to teaching and who can also offer the children stimulating, suitably challenging activities. There is a range of ability levels in the class, so there will be lots of differentiation required, to ensure that all pupils can access the curriculum at a suitably challenging level.
The class have a few characters who are lively but very likeable and who respond well to a teacher who has defined boundaries in place and high expectations, in terms of behaviour and activity levels.
This will be an exciting role, in a great school and as part of a brilliant team.
The Year 4 teacher must:
*Have full QTS (or equivalent teaching qualifications) and experience in a UK primary classroom
*Have taught in Key Stage 2
*Be able to engage children with exciting and challenging activities
*Be able to commit until July 2020 at least
*Engage well with colleagues, children and their parents
*Work effectively as part of an established year group team
