This established community primary school in South East London, are currently looking for a qualified teacher to join them as a full time Year 4 teacher on a long term basis. The position commences after the Easter school holidays and is paying an annual salary of up to £49,000 pro rata ($89000AUD equivalent).
This primary school was originally a one-form entry school (one class per year level) with space for 30 children per year group and 50 part-time nursery children. In September 2018, a 'bulge' class was added and there are now two classes (60 children) in both Reception and Year 1.
The school aims to provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment in which all pupils have the opportunity to achieve their full potential and to become actively involved in their learning. The school encourages care and respect for one another, valuing the diverse needs and backgrounds found within their school community. The ethos of the School is very open and friendly. Teaching there is engaging, and pupils make good progress. In 2017 Ofsted graded the school as 'Good' in all areas.
The school is located between Deptford and Brockley, South East London. It is within walking distance from two main London Underground stations on the Northern line, as well as an Overground train station. It can also be accessed easily by bus or car, and there are parking facilities for staff.
The Headteacher is keen to recruit a Year 4 teacher and will be holding in person, phone and Skype interviews in the coming weeks.
The successful Year 4 teacher must have:
*A good understanding of the KS2 curriculum
*Previous experience of teaching an Upper Primary class (either their own or within their teaching practicums)
*Excellent behaviour management skills
*The ability to work in a team and support others
*The skills to enable to students to think and work independently
