Tradewind Manchester are currently looking for an enthusiastic and creative teacher who will provide intervention and boosters across KS1 and KS2. This is a part-time (4 days) role, initially through till Easter with potentially carrying on if the role is proving successful.

*Hold QTS Status
*Have good all-round knowledge of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum
*Have experience or good understanding of SATS
*Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
*Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
*Have the legal right to work in the UK

About the school
We are recruiting for an Intervention/Booster Teacher on behalf of a small primary school in Rochdale. The school has a 'good' rating from Ofsted when last inspected in 2017. Results last year were below the national and LEA average. The children have also had a very difficult and challenging year and the school have decided to use the catch-up funding to provide additional support right through the school. The school is friendly and inclusive, very much at the heart of the community. They aim to produce confident and happy individuals by fostering a secure and caring environment.

The school is based in Rochdale, with excellent public transport links and ample parking available.

About the role
This OFSTED 'good' primary school is looking for a Booster teacher who can work predominately in KS2 but across KS1 as well You will be working closely with all teachers to ensure planning is relevant and challenging for groups of children who are low and high ability. It is important that the relevant teacher has sound knowledge of the curriculum and is comfortable and adept at teaching across the whole age range. The priority will be to boost attainment in Yr6 but there may be times that you would be used to cover course, PPA or sickness.
Part of the role will be to forge closer working relationships with the parents to encourage learning at home. The school see this as a critical development to the success of their pupils. Ideal candidates will have strong curriculum knowledge and will ensure that the lessons they deliver are of excellent quality using innovative and engaging approaches, ensuring that the students are having fun whilst making progress!
