This 2-form entry primary school in East Southwark are currently looking for a Year 6 teacher to join the team next January. The position is full time, long term and is paying an annual salary of up to £41,483.

This inclusive school in the Rotherhithe area of South East London was first opened in 1995. For an inner London school they have spacious playgrounds and outside areas including a running track with views of Canary Wharf beyond. They are fortunate to be in a vibrant and evolving part of London, with excellent transport links to central London and take full advantage of the resources open to us there and in our local area. The school itself is a place where everyone is valued and their contributions are appreciated. They are very proud to be a Rights Respecting school and work hard to ensure that this respect is evident through all aspects of school life. Staff here ensure that the curriculum is varied and creative. The children all have opportunities to learn to play musical instruments, the school has a long history of having Artists in residence.

The school is in a prime residential location close to train and tube stations (Jubilee line). It is less than 30 minutes from central London near the river Thames and has a small staff car park for drivers.

The Headteacher is keen to recruit a Year 6 teacher to join the team.

The Year 6 teacher must:
*Have full QTS (or equivalent teaching qualifications)
*Be experienced teaching children in year 6
*Have good knowledge and understanding of the UK curriculum
*Be able to engage well with colleagues, children and their parents
*Possess good behaviour management skills
*Have a positive work ethic and offer support to others
