Tradewind are seeking an innovative and qualified Primary School teacher to teach a KS1 class for children with SLD. The school is looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic teaching professional with excellent subject knowledge and a sound understanding of the KS1 curriculum. Learners with SLD will have difficulties in mobility and co-ordination, communication and perception and the acquisition of self-help skills. You will need to support the pupils in in all areas of the curriculum.

The successful teacher will be creative in their approach to teaching, you will create and implement individual curriculum programmes for the children. The teacher will be expected to provide a sensory programme, integrating the physical, academic, social and emotional needs of each individual student.

*You will need to demonstrate a commitment to:
Plan, deliver and teach individual students or small groups across a range of curriculum subjects
*Devise, implement and review individual education and behaviour plans alongside other staff, communicating regularly with parents, carers, teaching and clinical staff to ensure consistency
Positively contribute to the overall programme of learning for each student to ensure their progression
*Organise your classroom, resources and displays to provide a stimulating learning environment for students
Safeguard all students and ensure their safety and wellbeing at all times
