Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for an experienced, results driven and hardworking Yr3 teacher for a 1-form entry school in Tameside. This position is due to start in September and is a full time, fixed term contract until the end of July 2021 with a pay rate of up to £170 per day. The successful applicant will have an opportunity to earn a permanent contract and they are open to NQT's and experienced teachers alike.

About the school
This school is an 'good' school having had an Ofsted inspection in March 2018. The school sits at the heart of the community and caters for children from a diverse range of backgrounds and cultures. The school is predominantly EAL with 91.3% of children having English as a second language. The school currently has 231 children and includes a nursery offering free part time places. With such a diverse range of cultures, the school works hard to ensure they offer a friendly, warm and inclusive learning environment. Children are taught to respect all but are given the opportunity to express themselves and speak freely.
Results last year were outstanding! The school was well above LA and National expected standards in reading, writing and maths. Progress was average but goes to show how hard the children work in school and at home. This is a fantastic school who strike that balance between attainment and wellbeing. About the role
This is a challenging role and requires someone with the determination and a will to succeed. The children are 'challenging' so someone with a firm but fair nature is required. There is also a wide range of abilities in the class so ensuring all are engaged is the key towards behaviour. It isn't a job for 'any' teacher, more a job for 'the' teacher and is the job many would have got into teaching for in the first place! The children have had a tumultuous last year with very little consistency or continuity from a teaching perspective, especially given the lock down. As such, a lot of the children will not be at the expected level. They will need a lot of pushing to get to the required level. An energetic teacher with a creative and engaging outlook on the curriculum would be well suited to ensure the children remain engaged and active throughout the year.
There will be plenty of support from the SLT and you will have 3 TA's in the class working with a variety of children on a 1-1 basis. This position is open to NQT's and experienced teachers alike but most likely more suitable to an experienced teacher.
As a Classroom Teacher, you will have the support of a cohesive and committed team of teachers and SLT who work collaboratively to maintain high standards and expectations, plus:
