Primary Teacher

A friendly and supportive two-form entry school in Tower Hamlets, is looking for a Y1 teacher for a maternity cover from after the February half term.

Are you a talented Key Stage 1 teacher, keen to commit to a long-term role with a view to a permanent role in September? If you are a passionate Y1 teacher with experience of teaching phonics, then Tradewind Recruitment wants to hear from you!

As the successful Year 1 teacher, you can expect pay rates of between £152 -£190 per day, depending on experience.

The school are looking for a Year 1 teacher who possesses the following qualities:

• Recent experience of teaching Year 1
• Confidence with delivering phonics
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that will meet the needs of all the children irrespective of ability
• Good written and spoken English

Job Requirements

• Hold QTS status or equivalent Primary teaching qualification
• Overseas Trained Teachers will be considered if you have a comparable qualification with a UK teaching qualification and you can comply with the other points
• This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
• You must have the legal right to work in the UK
• Experience of Teaching Year 1 in a mainstream school
