This long-term Year 1 teaching role, has potential to go permanent in September 2019. Current pay rates are from £150 -£180 depending on experience.
This two-form entry school has recently become an academy and as such has benefitted from a new Head teacher and the support of a very successful Trust. After it's last Ofsted inspection, inspectors commented that behaviour was good and that the children's attainment was above the national average in reading, writing, maths and science.
In 2014, this was the first Waltham forest School to achieve an Excellence in Literacy Quality Mark.
This is a happy school where staff have the highest expectations and aspirations for their children.
Whilst there is a great emphasis on high academic standards at the school, they value the effort that the children put into learning. This is a nurturing environment where children are encouraged to develop a life- long love of learning which they hope will continue with them throughout their lives.

-An experienced Year 1 Primary Teacher to plan; teach and deliver engaging lessons that challenge the children.

The school is based in the Borough of Waltham Forest and is well served by the Overground and North Circular. There is ample parking for staff.
Waltham Forest is a large and culturally diverse borough within easy distance of the City of London. Accommodation is more affordable than other parts of London.
To join us and be successful in securing a permanent teaching position at this Newham school you will need to:
-Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification
-Overseas Trained Teachers will be considered if you have a comparable qualification with a UK teaching qualification and you can comply with the other points
-This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
-Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
-You must have the legal right to work in the UK
