Tradewind Preston are delighted to be working in partnership with a 'Good' Catholic Primary School based in Wigan to recruit an experienced Year 5 Teacher to cover a full time Maternity position.

This 1 form entry Primary School prides itself on the exceptional behaviour of the students. This Catholic Primary School is passionate about providing students with the skills and enthusiasm for Secondary School. They provide a safe, happy and well-disciplined learning environment and have a supportive SLT.

This is a full-time position, starting in December 2020 and running until July 2021. You shall be responsible for a Year 5 class of up to 29 mixed ability pupils and have a supportive and experienced Teaching Assistant in class. You shall be required to plan, deliver and assess work in line with the National Curriculum and be happy to partake in Parents Evenings should this be required.

It is desirable for that you have recent experience teaching within a Catholic Primary School and ideally you shall have CCRS.

This Catholic school has close links to the bordering parish church. The pupils are very engaged with their religion and parents are very supportive of this at home. The governors and growing staff team are committed, hardworking and aim to ensure that every child within their care really does matter.

The School is located on the border of Wigan and St Helens and is easily accessible via car and has free parking on site. The School is also accessible via public transport and has close bus links.

The ideal candidate for this KS2 Teacher role will:
* Be a qualified teacher with QTS
* Have experience of working within KS2
* Have experience of year 5
* Develop good relationships with students to ensure they have every learning opportunity
* Offer a range of exciting, diverse lessons that all students can access
* Have high expectations on students in both learning and behaviour
* Be part of a cultural diverse school and be part of this inclusive environment.
