Our one form entry partner school in Salford are looking for a knowledgeable KS2 teacher to provide intervention support to the pupils most affected by school closures. The senior leadership team would like a teacher who is able to maintain the school's high standards. You will be required to plan and deliver booster sessions to select KS2 pupils. You will be required every morning 5 Mornings per week from April 2021 until the end of the academic.

The school team tales an approach to learning that develops the whole child through providing opportunities for pupils to develop academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. Within the classroom environment, children are encouraged to work independently and voice their thoughts, opinions and emotions during whole class activities. Families are also actively engaged in their children's learning, utilising the numerous whole school events and an open-door policy, allowing parents and carers to consolidate learning at home.

As the Intervention support teacher, you will need to work closely with the class teachers to ensure the group intervention plans that correspond with in-class learning where possible.

Your main responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Plan effective and engaging lessons to small groups of children
  • Demonstrate a secure knowledge and understanding of the Primary curriculum, age related expectations and transitions through this primary phase of learning
  • Build a positive rapport with all pupils based on mutual respect
  • Utilise creative approaches that inspire a love for learning
  • Use a range of assessment strategies to review, report and reflect on daily practice and report regularly to class teachers to feedback on individual pupil progress
  • Analyse data in relation to targets set and adjust planning/strategies as necessary.

We are looking for applicants who have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • A commitment to child development and learning
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • The right to work in the U.K
