On behalf of our client school, Tradewind would like to present you with a wonderful opportunity to play a key role in shaping the provision of primary education and lifelong learning prospects within a highly reputable school. This is a KS1 position in Year 1 which will commence in January 2021 and run until the end of the academic year with the possibility of an extension depending on your success in the role.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a mixed-ability year 1 class where a large percentage of children are working at age related expectations in both literacy and numeracy. SEN experience (specifically dyslexia and ADHD) will be beneficial to the role and you will be joined by a full-time learning support assistant.

The school has been judged by OFSTED as a consistently 'Good' school and has been praised for its ability to create meaningful opportunities and experiences that support international mindedness and global citizens with a desire to learn. The school is driven by an experienced Headteacher and effective leadership team who collaborate well in order to raise whole school standards.
About the role:
The successful candidate will have:
The ability to create detailed lesson plans that are engaging and align with the National Curriculum Standards
A thorough knowledge and understanding of teaching, learning and behaviour management strategies and how to implement them effectively
A clear understanding of age-related expectations for children within Year 1 and an ability to analyse and assess learning in order to raise attainment levels
A strong application of ICT to enhance learning opportunities
A willingness to contribute to wide school life and extra-curricular activities
Essential Requirements:
QTS Certification
A minimum of 2 years' experience (KS1 highly desirable)
The right to work in the UK
All candidates for posts will be asked to provide suitable references and undergo an enhanced DBS check.
