Primary Teacher - Year 2 - East Manchester

On behalf of our client, Tradewind are currently recruiting an experienced Year 2 Teacher for an Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' school in East Manchester. This is a maternity post which is full-time, long term and will start in April 2020 and is expected to last until April 2021

This 2 form entry, Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' primary school serves a diverse and multicultural community and continues to be oversubscribed year after year. Situated on 2 miles East of the city centre, this school is perfectly situated for commute my car or public transport and sits a few hundred meters from one of Manchester's main tram lines.

As one the schools Year 2 Teachers, the successful candidate will be responsible for a mixed ability class of 30 children and you will have a full time Teaching Assistant present in class. The school feel that an experienced key stage 1 practitioner with experience is most suited to this class. A proven track record with Key Stage 1 SATS is vital for this particular vacancy due to the complexities of the last academic year.

Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

· Undertaking full teaching responsibility for a Year 2 class in line with the development and progress associated with Key Stage 1 and Year 2

· Creating a stimulating environment within your classroom where children are engaged and enjoy learning.

· Inspiring children's confidence and being involved in their emotional well being

· Assessing, recording and reporting on the children's development to ensure that every child make the right progress.

Essential requirements:

· Qualified Teacher Status

· References which support over 2 years of successful classroom teaching within Key Stage 1 and experience of Year 2 SATS.

· The right to work in the U.K

· Availability from April (and possibly earlier) and the commitment for a full calendar year
