Primary Teacher - Year 2 - Trafford

Tradewind are currently recruiting an outstanding Year 2 Teacher for an Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' school in a beautiful suburb of Trafford. This role is a full-time, maternity cover role which is to start in September 2020 and will run for a full calendar year. This is a very large school so there is potential of a permanent opportunity available once the maternity role has finished
This is an Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' 3 form entry school which is situated in a vibrant area within the borough of Trafford. Although the school is above average, they are constantly oversubscribed. This school is well connected to Manchester city centre and other areas within the borough of Trafford and is within walking distance of a tram stop. The school also benefits from a large staff car park.
As one of the schools Year 2 Teachers, you will be responsible for a mixed ability class of 30 children and you will have a full time Teaching Assistant present in class. With the Year 2 cohort expected to achieve strong results, you will have relevant experience in Key Stage 1 assessments and the drive and determination to ensure that your class have a successful SATS year. Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
*Undertaking full teaching responsibility for a Year 2 class in line with the development and progress associated with Key Stage 1 and more importantly the upcoming Year 2 SATS.
*Creating a stimulating environment within your classroom where children are engaged and enjoy learning.
*Inspiring children's confidence and being involved in their emotional well being
*Assessing, recording and reporting on the children's development to ensure that every child make the right progress.

Essential requirements:
*Qualified Teacher Status
*References which support over 2 years of successful classroom teaching within Key Stage 1 and experience of Year 2 SATS.
*The right to work in the U.K
*Availability from January (and possibly earlier) and the commitment for the rest of the academic year.
